GAIP: AI Shopping Alerts · Shopify app · coming soon

Publish what your shop commits to agents, with one click

An agent asks
Which of my products dropped out of AI shopping, and why?
GAIP answers
The product, the price, stock or product code that disagreed between your page and your feed, and when. What GAIP observed, never why an AI service made its choice.
The call
GET /v1/free/shop-check?url=your-shop.com today; the app runs it every day

  1. Install it from the Shopify App Store (not yet available). It only reads: it never changes anything in your shop and never reads customer data. Orders only if you switch Order-time capture on.
  2. Publish your record in one click. What your shop commits to agents, as a file on your own domain.
  3. Get the change, with a receipt. Who reached you, what assistants quote, and the daily Catalog check.

Details everything else about this product

The app's home, in five parts

GAIP keeps a dated, signed record of what shops showed, what they committed to agents and what assistants quoted, kept by a non-party. The app is the shop's door to that record. Its home has five parts, in this order:

  1. Publish your record. Your shop's agent-commerce record: what your shop commits to agents, published on your own domain in one click, and the state GAIP last read. The record's format, free generator and GitHub Action.
  2. Order-time capture. A dated, signed record of what your product pages showed when an agent's order arrived; off by default, and nothing about the customer leaves the app. What is kept, and when GAIP reads an order.
  3. Who reached you. Which agents reached your shop and under which identity, whether they read your record first, and what they claimed about your pages, from the app's own request logs.
  4. What assistants quote about you. What AI assistants quoted about your products over time, as submitted to GAIP and checked against your page, shown inside the app only.
  5. The compliance record. GAIP's own daily readings of the product pages you choose: price, struck-through price and countdowns, with the days it could not read, and an export. What GAIP reads each day and keeps.

Each part says what GAIP read and when ("the page showed", "the file says", "as submitted by"), never a verdict. Nothing in the app is shown per assistant outside the app. Nothing charges, and no paid tier exists.

More and more shoppers ask ChatGPT, Copilot and other AI assistants to find products for them. For Shopify shops, many of those assistants draw on Shopify Catalog (the source AI shopping assistants like ChatGPT and Copilot use): Shopify's own list of products from Shopify shops, which it shares with AI shopping assistants. If one of your products is missing from it, or its details look wrong, assistants are less likely to show it, and nothing tells you. GAIP: AI Shopping Alerts tells you which products, and why.

What AI shopping assistants generally rely on is simple: accurate product details that agree everywhere (price, stock, identifiers such as barcodes), clear store policies, and being allowed to read your shop. The app checks exactly those things.

What it does, once a day

1. Looks for your products

With your permission, it asks Shopify Catalog whether each of your own products is found there. Only your shop, never anyone else's.

2. Checks the usual causes

The price, stock or product code (SKU) saying one thing in Shopify and another on your shop's own page; missing details assistants match on, such as barcode or category; missing Terms, Privacy or Refund pages; and your shop blocking AI search tools from reading it.

3. Names each problem, with a fix

Every product that is missing is named, with the likely cause and a suggested fix. It says what GAIP saw, not why an AI service made its choice.

4. Tells you, and keeps a record

An email when something gets worse, and a dated record of what was found and when, so you can show Shopify support exactly what happened.

What it never does

It only reads: it never changes anything in your shop. It reads no orders unless you switch Order-time capture on; then, for each new order, only the order number, each line's product link, title, price, quantity and option, how the order was placed, the agent's identifier if it gave one, and the time. Never customer data: no name, email, address, phone or IP leaves the app. It never promises placement in any assistant, because none of them publishes which shops it shows. Uninstalling the app deletes everything GAIP holds about your shop.

Cost

Not available yet. When it launches you will install it from the Shopify App Store. The app is free while it is in preview, and no charge is taken. Prices will be announced on this page before any charge; any charge would be billed by Shopify through your Shopify bill, and GAIP never takes payment itself.

Until it launches

The free shop check runs today on any shop, Shopify or not: it reads your public pages and shows the store-wide problems above. Check your shop. Your agent-commerce record can be published today without the app, as one file on your own domain, with the free generator or the GitHub Action: the agent-commerce record.
