GAIPGoverned Agentic Intelligence Platform

Changelog

What changed, by date.

Public releases of the free GAIP service. Current version 1.8.0. Machine-readable: /changelog.json.

One front door: one sentence, gaip_check first, one map 1.8.0

Every surface now says what GAIP is in the same words (llms.txt, the home page, server.json, the Server Card, the root agent card on both runtimes, the record card and the MCP initialize instructions), names gaip_check as the one first call and points to one map of the questions GAIP's agents answer, grouped by who asks them (GET /v1/free/map, gaip.map.v1). Every completed answer carries a continuity handle and a since_last_call block; gaip_diagnose and second_look_check now issue a handle too.

May my agent fetch this? Record extracts and a test range 1.7.0

Two new tools on the existing faces: gaip_check_permission (developer checks) reads a site's robots.txt and AI-permission files and answers ALLOWED, DISALLOWED, NO_RULE or UNKNOWN for an agent, signed; gaip_record_extract (Witness) returns a signed extract of GAIP's record as kept about an agent or shop page, with chain positions and daily anchors. A synthetic test range at /test-range gives developers a shop page whose sources disagree and an MCP server that fails on request; it is never counted as use.

Three public faces: the /mcp front door, Witness and the Listing Observer 1.7.0

GAIP now presents three faces: five tools on /mcp for developers (with the Agent Observatory and the integration-protocol agent behind them), Witness (agreed terms, delivery, receipts, disputes and evidence) and the Listing Observer (preview). Witness and integration-protocol now also carry the tools of the agents folded into them. Every earlier agent id, route and tool stays callable; their pages say where they now live.

The data record: a changed-since check, save an agent now, daily anchors 1.7.0

Before connecting, ask whether an MCP server changed since a date (gaip_tools_changed_since, /v1/free/observatory/changed-since), or save a dated record of an agent now (gaip_observatory_capture). GAIP keeps every observed agent's history with no deletion date, a fixed October 2026 reference panel, a monthly outcome ledger, a weekly shop panel and four long-run datasets, each hash-chained and signed daily through Sigstore and OpenTimestamps. Only aggregates are published; corrections and opt-out at /corrections. /how-it-works explains what is kept and for how long.

One first call, a client quickstart and plain-language errors 1.7.0

The homepage, /for-agents, /try, llms.txt and the listing kit lead with the same gaip_check call on a public MCP server, so it runs as-is. A new quickstart shows Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, ChatGPT, OpenAI Agents SDK and LangChain set-ups. gaip_check follows up to three same-site HTTPS redirects (example.com to www.example.com) and reports them. Failed checks now say what happened in one plain sentence with a next step.

Listing Observer: product records, history and bulk reads 1.7.0

gaip_observe_listing now returns one clean product record per page (name, brand, GTIN, price, currency, stock, every variant with its own price and stock, images, shipping and returns as the shop publishes them, each value with its source), GAIP's dated history of the listing (first seen, every price or stock change since), and answers up to 10 links per call. Recently observed pages are answered from memory. Differences between sources are shown during the preview, marked not yet confirmed by GAIP's accuracy test.

Listing Observer preview: GAIP's 11th specialist 1.7.0

GAIP Listing Observer (agent id listing-observer, MCP tool gaip_observe_listing) tells AI shopping agents whether a shop's product listing (price, currency, stock, SKU) agrees across the product page's structured data, its meta tags and the shop platform's product data at a stated time. At launch the preview reported only fields where every source agreed; since 30 Sep differences are shown, marked not yet confirmed by GAIP's accuracy test. Read-only; results go to the caller only; not Amazon, eBay or Etsy; never cart or checkout. gaip_check routes product page links to it.

MCP front door: four tools 1.6.0

tools/list on /mcp now returns four task-level tools: gaip_check, gaip_watch, gaip_diagnose and gaip_verify, each a router over the existing specialist tools. Every earlier tool name stays callable on /mcp; the full catalogue is listed at /mcp/all and per specialist at /mcp/agents/{agent_id}.

Observatory change feeds and weekly report

Atom and JSON Feed of dated Observatory changes for the whole ecosystem or one server (?url=), a subscribe route and MCP tool gaip_watch_changes, and a weekly "What changed in the agent ecosystem" report with an archive.

Discovery files and client configuration 1.5.0

Added security.txt, a page and JSON list of GAIP's automated clients, an RFC 9727 API catalog, an MCP server catalog, an Agent Skills index, this dated changelog and ready-to-paste client configuration for Claude, Cursor and VS Code. The public OpenAPI listing now shows product endpoints only, tagged by product, with a shared error schema.

Faster A2A tasks

A2A task latency in GAIP's own measurement fell from about 4.8 s to about 0.23 s after bounding the evidence projection and indexing receipt lookups.

Ten public specialists live

All ten specialists callable over MCP and A2A with receipts, a plain-text router, and one Official MCP Registry record per specialist.
